NO IMPROVEMENT IN DETECTING CERVICAL CANCER WITH ADDITION OF HPV TEST IN CERVICAL SCREENING PROGRAMME IN THE UK
An article publicised Online First and in the July edition of The Lancet Oncology reports that the compounding of manlike papillomavirus (HPV) investigating with lawful liquid-based genetics (LBC) display does not meliorate the spotting of cervical cancer compared with LBC display alone. In the UK, liquid-based genetics (which is a liquefied modify of the Pap smudge test) has replaced the customary Pap smudge test.
